My name is Clara Brotons Mercadal. I am a cinematographer currently living between New York and Barcelona. Periodically, I also participate in audiovisual projects in the Balearic Islands. I double majored in Music and Film Production at Brooklyn College in New York. My professional experience includes the participation in a variety of audiovisual projects (short films, music videos, promotional videos, publicity spots, and TV series) adopting a variety of roles: producer, producer assistant, director assistant, localization manager and editor. Two of the short films I produced have been selected to be showcased in Film Festivals. I live the art of cinema with great passion, and understand it as a means to tell stories, communicate and project the most personal and intimate aspects of a human being. I also see the art of film as a machine with great potential to recuperate historic memories.
