Carles Bover has studied a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a Master’s Degree in Documentary. He has made a social report on educational inclusion of people with cerebral palsy. The report named "Inclusion with an expiring date" was the winner of the V Alberta Giménez Journalism Award for the best social audiovisual report. He has worked as screenwriter and assistant director in the short film "Galleries" (2014), which was the winner of the Best International Documentary Award at the National Student Film Festival FENACIES (Uruguay) and the winner of the Best Spanish Short Film Award at the Montecatini International Short Film Festival (Italy). Then he made two microfilms with his partner Julio Perez, "Road" and "Italian Lessons". The last one was selected for the official section of the 2015 European Audiovisual Creation Competition. In 2015, Carles Bover directed his first documentary short film, "Listen to my eyes", which wins Best Short Film Green Shooting at the PalmaActiva film competition and it has been selected in other film festivals as ABYCINE or Art Jove (Young Talent Awards in Balearic Islands). Moreover, he was Jury representing Spain in the selection Venice Days of the Venice Film Festival organized by Europe Cinemas, Lux Film Prize and the European Parliament. Recently, he has produced and directed with Julio Pérez his first documentary feature film "Gas the Arabs" (2017) about Gaza Strip’s situation after the last Israeli attack. Currently, he is going to work in his next documentary feature in the Development Workshop of DocsBarcelona.
